Publishing of newspapers
A holding company for a group engaged in the printing and publishing of newspapers, as well as the operation and management of television and radio stations in Spain. It was incorporated in December of 1992 and has its registered head office in the city of Bilbao in Spain. As a holding entity, the company takes controlling and supervisory measures as well as provides technical and scientific management holding services to its operating companies and enterprises including the local units. Its principal services include business support services, management consulting and open-end management investments, and other investment advisors/financial services. The company's subsidiaries include Corporacion de Medios Radiofonicos Vascos, which operates radio stations in Bilbao and Vitoria; Canal Bilbovision, which operates the local television network for the greater Bilbao area; and Atlas Pais Vasco S.A., which is responsible for the Telecinco's regional disconnection in the Basque region.
