The entity operates as an investment firm. It was incorporated in January of 1989 and conducts its business from its registered head office located in the city of Bilbao, Spain. As an investment holding firm, the company holds equity securities from strategic technology acquisitions and monitors investments for other than temporary declines in market value, and charges impairment losses to income when an other than temporary decline in estimated value occurs. It reviews the carrying value of investments in equity securities each quarter to determine whether an other than temporary decline in market value exists.
